Does that sound like you? The Opportunity with McKinstry We are adding a Project Engineer to our growing Energy division in Moscow, ID to provide support and technical assistance to units in mechanical, utility systems and infrastructure.
Additionally, some responsibilities you will have include: Perform engineering calculations, design, and drafting tasks.
Investigate, evaluate, and troubleshoot existing district energy systems including steam, water, and electrical distribution.
Manage operations and maintenance of campus electrical distribution.
Respond to and assist with reported utility problems.
Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual reporting.
Pursue an understanding of the technical foundation of design and operations activities and decisions.
Identify opportunities for process and technology improvements.
Coordinate with internal team members and supports coordination with external team members.
Review drawings, specifications, and other resources to answer questions.
Support Project Manager with daily duties including communication with project stakeholders, scheduling, and monthly financial reporting.
What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry Bachelor’s degree in engineering required or equivalent work experience required.
Operations and/or onsite construction experience considered and welcome.
[Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred] One (1) year of experience in a district energy setting or related field preferred.
Knowledge of power distribution design and operations preferred.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, contracts, proposals, estimates, and other regularly encountered items required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
Knowledge of Revit preferred.
Knowledge of other CAD/BIM and software tools welcome.

The pay range for this position is $63,000 - $104,200 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Base pay information is based on market location.
A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
