Program Coordinator, Community Food Systems

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for providing day-to-day operations support to team members throughout the planning, implementation and delivery of programs, and may serve as first point of contact for the unit.
Duties may include:
Serving as primary contact with program participants, customer service and office support functions
Facilitating communicating between program participants and managerial staff
Coordinating arrangements for the program such as meetings, conferences and banquets
Collecting, compiling and summarizing program data and managing records
Maintaining program calendars and schedules
May utilize University programs to create, review and approval financial documents, and to provide routine financial reports to the program administrator
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Three years performing administrative, office and/or program support functions
Composing, proofing and editing a variety of documents, using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materials
Using computer software and applications for word processing, developing spreadsheets, email, and internet research
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Food Systems, Sustainable Agriculture, Adult Education or closely related field
Experience in program marketing and promotion
Experience working independently on self-directed projects and in cooperation with team members to accomplish shared goals
Ability to be flexible with assignments and multiple priorities.
Ability to learn new skills as the opportunities or the need arise
Experience in developing, presenting and implementing programs, classes, training or workshops targeted to agricultural producers, small businesses and/or other community stakeholders
Independently solving problems and performing liaison activities in a work setting and coordinating activities requiring complex arrangements
Experience with interpersonal skills and experience working with diverse individuals and groups
Effective written communications and organizing electronic documents
Ability to manage time effectively
Experience with creating and editing content for digital, web and social media
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Ability to lift, carry or otherwise move programming supplies and equipment up to 40 pounds
Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings
