Professional (+) (Fixed Term) Time Type: Full time Position Term: 12 Month Position Details: Summary of Duties: Responsible for contribution to the development, implementation, and growth of College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) strategic and development efforts.
This position works collaboratively in support of College of Veterinary Medicine and university strategic development goals.
Leadership and oversight of key CVM strategic initiatives.
Program support for special projects at the request of the Dean.
Plans, develops, and implements high-priority projects and initiatives designed to achieve CVM's mission and strategic vision; builds and maintains successful working relationships and coordinates with a wide range of offices, staff, and stakeholders, internal and external to the University.
This position leads initiatives of varying levels of complexity from planning phase through transition to operations using combination of project management, change management, facilitation, and business management expertise.
Required Qualifications: Positions require a Bachelor's degree in relevant field and three (3) years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified within the project specialty.
A Master's degree in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience.
Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Five (5) years of experience in Development including Major Donor Cultivation, Solicitation and Stewardship.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to communicate effectively with diverse students, staff, and faculty and community members is essential.
Proven experience and strong working knowledge of program development and developing and executing short- and long-term plans.
Demonstrated ability to work collegially and collaboratively with diverse internal and external constituencies.
Exceptional communications and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous work experience at an institution of higher education.
Experience working in a College of Veterinary Medicine leadership role.
Familiarity with Washington State University academic rules and regulations.
