Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a Reliability Engineer to apply the science of quality to interesting challenges in effort to “Make Electric Power Safer, More Reliable and More Economical”.

In this position, you will use failure data clues and electronics knowledge to identify root cause of product failures.

As an Associate Reliability Engineer, a typical day might include the following:
1.
Provide reliability deliverables for product development projects.
(Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Capability Analysis, Reliability Projection or other pertinent analyses)
2.
Conduct product risk assessments on new products.
3.
Develop reliability plans and acceptance criteria for new products.
Consider end-user product requirements and ensure that test plans include these requirements.
4.
Implement reliability test procedures such as HALT / HASS and collect test data using automation.
5.
Analyze field failure information and report opportunities for improvement to product owners.
6.
Review Engineering Change Orders for quality and reliability impact.
7.
Document and follow area processes.
8.
Model, Teach and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operation, and World Class Manufacturing Principles
9.
Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes.
10.
Other duties as assigned.
This job might be for you if you have:

in Electrical Engineering or Reliability Engineering.
2.
One year of experience in a Quality, Reliability, or Electronics Engineering.
3.
Strong problem solving skills.
4.
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
5.
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
6.
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
7.
Management of an engineering development or product validation group.
8.
Working knowledge of HALT and HASS principles.
10.
Familiarity with SAP JMP data analysis software.
11.
Software design or script development experience.
12.
Working knowledge of physics of failure analysis.
13.
ASQ certification CRE, CQE or similar.

Pay Range Data
We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
The salary range for this position is between $58,200 and $91,200 annually.
