*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*
- Ability to obtain a City of Moscow Childcare Provider License and pass a background check
- Experience in an early childhood education or similar setting
- Proven track record of communication effectively with others
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects with competing deadlines
- Certified in Pediatric First Aid/CPR (or ability to obtain upon employment)
*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:*
- Bachelors or AA Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Experience with managing people and supervisory tasks
- Background of successful teaching and/or managerial experience
- Experience managing finances using financial software (ex: Quickbooks)
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*
- Serve as overall MDS spokesperson in coordination with the Executive Board of Directors
- Collaborate with the Executive Board of Directors to continue to create and implement Moscow Day School's vision for a widely utilized and supported childcare program
- Implement and continue when needed to develop Policies and Handbook documentation required to ensure a safe and educational environment for the children and staff of the program
- Maintain ratios in each classroom to comply with City Code
- Create and maintain staffing schedules to achieve said ratios
- Conduct interviews and follow up with references for hiring new staff, as well as yearly evaluations of current staff
- Fill in for teachers in classrooms as needed
- Actively work towards achieving the next step on our Steps to Quality
- Schedule and conduct staff, classroom and lead teacher meetings
- Ensure all families are billed monthly and tuition is collected, fees sent out if necessary
- Ensure all bills and staff payroll are completed monthly
- Send a monthly billing statement to the accountant for Quickbooks reconciliation
- Maintain all required records in Procare
- Coordinate distribution of school information to parents through conferences, monthly emails, Facebook posts, Procare messages, Slack messages, and any ongoing communications needed
- Schedule and provide school tours and required information for new incoming families
- Maintain an ongoing waitlist of potential students and fill enrollment spots
- Participate in local, regional and national training
- Train all staff in the IdahoSTARS/RISE platform for continuing education and program documentations
- Assist with school committee efforts (fundraising, grant writing, maintenance, teacher recruitment/retention)
- Ensure school and staff are following required IdahoSTARS standards
- Conduct and maintain confidentiality regarding potential childcare issues or needs for all enrolled families and staff
- Coordinate, maintain and update City of Moscow childcare facility licensing documents and requirements
- Serve as a public liaison within the community
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $3,250.
00 - $4,500.
